Jellaby is freaking cute, and I am drawn to everything that is cute. One look at my desk (at work or at home) and you will see that.
Although this graphic novel is short, I enjoyed how much story and character development was in the pages. Kean Soo is really good at portraying a cute, loveable monster without crossing the line into being obnoxious. The only trouble I had was with the drawings of the children - I couldn't quite figure out how old they were supposed to be and had to use context from the rest of the setting to figure it out (I'm guessing 10?).
I'll definitely keep an eye out for the next volume.
